These apps are all integrated with the Emergency Response Centre (ERC) that monitors worldwide events 24x7.
Operators at the ERC are able to mark out exclusion zones where incidents have occurred so that travellers can be notified (via their smartphone) when they enter an exclusion zone.
ERC operators keep relevant parties (e.g. parents) informed when incidents happen. When someone is in trouble the ERC will automatically set up a recorded telephony conference room where all parties can be kept informed and advised.
